On Thursday 17th October, Stratigos together with The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship at NYU School of Law, the East Africa Private Equity & Venture Capital Association and Adams & Adams hosted a live viewing of an impact investing workshop on Blending and Scaling Capital.
There were live viewings of this workshop in Nairobi, Lagos, Johannesburg and Cape Town; and we had close to 100 participants join the session - combined in person and online.
Some of the panelists on the webinar were Deborah Burand, Associate Professor of Clinical Law at NYU Law and Faculty Director of the Grunin Center, Amy Bailey, Associate General Counsel at Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC); Diane Bui, Attorney-Advisor at USAID, Christopher Garner, Former Senior Counsel at FMO, and George Rogers, Lead Counsel at IDB Invest.
The aim of this webinar series is to equip impact investing professionals, particularly lawyers, with the knowledge and skills to effectively serve high impact organisations wanting to raise capital and Stratigos is pleased to be a part of the community that is making this happen.
